Under the leadership of Li Yongjian, a teacher from the Department of mechanical engineering, the Department of international studies, the Department of international relations and the Department of Japanese, a total of 12 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students went to Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo to visit a number of well-known manufacturing enterprises and Japanese universities

the first stop of the detachment came to Aichi County, Nagoya City, the manufacturing center of Japan and the economic pillar of industry. In Fuji machinery Okazaki factory, the students visited the assembly line of Fuji NXT III mounter. After program optimization, the time consumption of 21 production steps of the mounter is set to 19 minutes, which greatly improves the accuracy, stability and efficiency of the whole production line. In the robot exhibition center of Yaskawa Electric Manufacturing Institute, the person in charge showed everyone the robotic arms with various functions such as welding, spot welding, inspection and sorting, as well as the multi-functional robots using advanced scientific and technological principles such as 3D recognition, safety induction, motion learning and force induction. While having a pleasant interaction with robots, the students also learned about the efforts made by Yaskawa electric in energy conservation and emission reduction

although Hosoda industry in Osaka is a small enterprise in the food manufacturing industry, it has solved the localization problem of high-performance membrane coated filter materials in vegetable cleaning and cutting, and achieved industry leadership. Their spiral bean sprout cleaning and cutting machines occupy a high market share in Japan and are sold to China, the United States, France, Canada and other countries. Under the warm reception of college students, faculty and Tsinghua alumni, the students visited and experienced nearly ten laboratories, including the Life Science Laboratory of the University of Tokyo, which applies AI to clinical surgery system, the robot laboratory of the University of technology, which helps the disabled walk with mechanical legs, and the environment and fluid Engineering Laboratory of the University of technology, which are closely combined with the needs of enterprises. Through the exchanges and interviews with Japanese teachers and students, the students, on the one hand, deeply realized the significance of the scientific and technological revolution in the current era, especially the innovation in the medical field, for human well-being. On the other hand, they also had a lot of thoughts on the commonness and characteristics of the Sino Japanese higher education training system with the implementation of the Euro 6 standard

during the practice of going to Japan, the detachment also received a reception from the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Japan. An Zaihe, the first Secretary of the education department, introduced the history and current situation of Sino Japanese education and exchange with foreign students, and encouraged everyone in the conversation to remember the original intention of Comrade Zhou Enlai, who once studied in Japan, and study for the rise of China. Song Weishu, a 2018 doctoral student in the Department of mechanical engineering, believes that compared with the highly developed Japanese machinery industry, China's advantage lies in the national unified strategic layout and resource allocation under the background of made in China 2025. We should learn from foreign experience and combine with China's national conditions to contribute to the development of China's machinery industry and realize the social mission and responsibility of Tsinghua robots
mechanical force is a summer practice project organized by the Youth League Committee of the Department of mechanical engineering of Tsinghua University every year since 2013.
